Titular diocese of Gravelbourg
The diocese of Gravelbourg ( Latin Dioecesis Gravelburgensis ) was a Roman Catholic diocese in Canada with its seat in Gravelbourg .
On January 31, 1930, it was founded from areas of the Archdiocese of Regina ( Canada ), to which it also belonged as a suffragan . It had a size of 58,938 km². In 1950 there were still 17,746 (20%) Catholics in 35 parishes with 38 diocesan priests , 35 religious priests and 237 religious sisters, but by 1990 the number fell to 12,560 (19.2%) Catholics in 30 parishes with 22 priests, 3 religious priests and 69 religious sisters. On September 14, 1998, the diocese was abolished and the diocese area was divided between the dioceses of Regina and Saskatoon. On November 14, 1998 a titular bishopric was founded with the name Gravelbourg, whose first titular bishop Noël Delaquis was.
