Titular diocese of Ptolemais in Phenicia

Ptolemais in Phenicia ( Italian : Tolemaide di Fenicia ) is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .

It goes back to a lost bishopric in the ancient city of Akkon (temporarily Ptolemais), which was in the Roman province of Syria Phoenice or in late antiquity Phoenice in today's Israel . The bishopric was assigned to the ecclesiastical province of Tire .
