Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint is an open-world tactical game developed by Ubisoft Paris and released on October 4, 2019. It is the eleventh game in the Ghost Recon series and is a sequel to Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands . At the release date the game was published for Windows , Xbox One , PlayStation 4 and on Google Stadia .

The game is set on the fictional island of Auroa in the Pacific Ocean. When an American cargo ship sinks nearby, the player is sent to the island as a nomad who is part of an operation by an elite unit called "Ghosts" to investigate the incident. However, their helicopters are shot down by something unknown on the island and they crash. Almost all of the surviving Ghosts are executed shortly afterwards by the mysterious elite "Wolfes" unit, led by Walker, an old comrade of Nomad. The player now has the task of uncovering the island's secrets and taking revenge on the "Wolves".
development
In the predecessor Wildlands , a free downloadable content called Operation Oracle was offered. This introduced the main character of this title. The game was shown with a first trailer on May 10, 2019. It was then presented in more detail at the Ubisoft press conference at E3 in June 2019.
Two download content packages have already been announced for the game, named Deep State and Transcendence . Before the release, there should be a beta test of the game.
