Tony Ma (* 1957 in Vietnam ; real name Hieu Ngoc Ma ) is a professional American poker player . He is two-time bracelet winner of the World Series of Poker .

Career

Poker successes

He moved to Southern California in 1985 and began playing poker regularly. He won his first bracelet at the 1996 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas and won $ 236,000 by winning a limit hold'em tournament against players like John Bonetti , Johnny Chan and TJ Cloutier . He secured his second bracelet in 2000 in Limit Hold'em .

By Card Player Magazine Ma was awarded the 1999 Player of the Year Award awarded. So far he has more than 4.5 million US dollars obtained through official live poker tournaments. He lives in South El Monte , California with his wife and two children . He is also a typical representative of the Men Nguyen School .
