Torre de Dona Chama is a municipality ( freguesia ) in the northern Portuguese district of Mirandela . It has a population of 1105 (as of June 30, 2011).
The Pelourinho ( stake ) stands on a square in the village , as a symbol of the past community sovereignty. Next to it is the sculpture of a pig known as Porca da Vila , similar to the Porca de Murça. The pig is part of the municipal coat of arms.
To the north of the place where the São Brás chapel stands, there was apparently a Castro culture complex . In addition to Iron Age and Roman Age pottery, signs of fortification walls have been found. The sculpture, which may have come from the Castro, is also dated to this period,
