history

Trefnitz settlement

Slavic place names such as Gleiritsch , Hohentreswitz, Söllitz, Köttlitz or Trefnitz document an early settlement of the area around the Kulm. Slavic settlers infiltrating from the east met Bavarians advancing northwards from the south . In a further settlement phase, the focus of which was in the 10th and 11th centuries, a number of village places such as Pamsendorf , Fuchsendorf, Pischdorf or Altendorf were created , which were "richt" and "ried" places like Trichenricht , Lampenricht or Zeinried followed. In a land register from the years 1473/75 , the following tax is listed under Trefnitz, which belonged to the Nabburg nursing office : monetary interest 2 shillings.

Thirty Years' War

The Thirty Years' War from 1618 to 1648 was a conflict over supremacy in the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation and in Europe and at the same time a religious war that also reached the Upper Palatinate in 1621 and had devastating economic, social and cultural effects. The Nabburg office, to which Trefnitz belonged, was also badly affected. Robbery, fire and looting terrified the people and the livestock were greatly reduced. Epidemics and famines decimated the population in the Nabburg district by around 40 percent during this time. The residents of Nabburg and the surrounding villages had to pay for the war costs. In the years 1628 to 1651, Trefnitz had to bear war expenses of 205 guilders.

Parish

A parish directory from the year 1782 lists the parish of Weidenthal among others in the deanery of Nabburg , to which the following places belonged: Weidenthal (St. Willibald), Gleiritsch (subsidiary church Maria Magdalena ), Pischdorf (St. Stephan), Guteneck, Oberkatzbach, Trichenricht ( in the Tännesberg nursing office), Trefnitz, Oberaich, Mitteraich, Steinach , Bernhof , Lampenricht (both in the Tännesberg nursing office), Hebenhof , Stöcklhof and Häuslmühle.

Tax District and Parish Education

The Kingdom of Bavaria was divided into 15 districts in 1808. These districts were named after rivers based on the French model ( Naabkreis , Regenkreis , Unterdonaukreis , etc.). The districts were divided into district courts. The districts in turn should be divided into individual municipality areas. In 1811 the district court of Nabburg was divided into 58 tax districts. One of them was Pamsendorf, consisting of the villages Pamsendorf and Trefnitz. In the same year there were 22 chairmen in the district court of Nabburg, which corresponds to a municipality in today's sense. Pamsendorf, Trefnitz, Weidenthal , Gleiritsch , Steinach , Hebenhof , Stöcklhof , Krohermühle and the Sägmühle at Lampenricht belonged to the Pamsendorf chairmanship. A large part of these places moved to the Oberviechtach district court after a new division. The independent communities of Bernhof and Gleiritsch emerged. According to the municipal edict of 1818, there was a list of the existing municipalities in the Nabburg district court on June 14, 1819. The community of Pamsendorf with 96 families includes the following localities, hamlets and wastelands: Pamsendorf, Trefnitz, Fuchsendorf, Bornmühle, Tauchersdorf, Wiesensüß, Kurmhof , Oberpfreimd, Rappenberg and Löffelsberg. In 1828 there were 58 residential buildings with 68 families and 394 residents in the rural community of Pamsendorf. The following localities, hamlets and wastelands belonged to the municipality: Häuslberg, Kurmhof, Löffelsberg, Oberpfreimd, Pamsendorf, Rappenberg, Tauchersdorf, Trefnitz, Wiesensüß.

Dissolution of the municipality of Pamsendorf

On January 1, 1971, the municipality of Pamsendorf, to which Trefnitz belonged, was dissolved and incorporated into the municipality of Hohentreswitz. The incorporation of the municipality of Hohentreswitz into the town of Pfreimd took place on May 1, 1978. The districts of Häuslberg and Trefnitz changed in 1978 to the municipality of Guteneck. Grubhof, Tauchersdorf and Wiesensüß were incorporated into the municipal area of the city of Nabburg .
