Treynor is a small town (with the status " City ") in Pottawattamie County in the US -amerikanischen State Iowa . In 2010 Treynor had 919 inhabitants, the number of which increased to 940 by 2014.

The place was founded in the 1880s and was initially called Four Corners . In 1893 a post office was set up and at the same time the place was renamed after the postmaster in Treynor . In 1904 the decision was made to raise Treynors as an independent municipality, which became legally effective at the beginning of 1905. The city was electrified from 1910 to 1920.
