Tringenstein is one of the five districts of the municipality of Siegbach in the Lahn-Dill district in central Hesse .
The place is surrounded by forest in the Gladenbacher Bergland at the foot of the Schlossberg (536 m above sea level). District road 55 leads through Tringenstein .
history
The village was first mentioned in 1325 when Tringenstein Castle was being built .
Territorial reform
In the course of the regional reform in Hesse, the municipality of Siegbach merged with Tringenstein, Übersthal and Wallenfels on December 31, 1971 to form the new municipality of Siegbach.
