The Tupolev Tu-330 is the project of a medium-sized transport aircraft from the Russian aircraft manufacturer Tupolev .
development
The development took place within the framework of a government project in accordance with regulation No. 369 of April 23, 1994. Up to now, Antonov An-12 machines have been used for transport purposes in Russia on distances of 1000 to 4000 kilometers . These are now out of date and should be replaced.
During the development, essential design details and developments from the Tupolev Tu-204 and Tupolew Tu-334 passenger aircraft were used. The machine is designed as a high-decker . The wings have winglets . The vertical stabilizer is designed conventionally. Two PS-90A engines are attached to pylons below the wings. The use of the Kuznetsov NK-93 was also planned, but its development was discontinued in 2009.
The chassis consists of six individual suspensions, each with two braked wheels. This should enable flight operations both on concrete runways and on unpaved ground. A runway of 2200 m is required with maximum load. With a 20 t charge, the range is specified as 5600 km. This is reduced to 3000 km with a payload of 30 t. This is intended to replace the outdated An-12 and Il-76 .
The manufacturer mentions the use of standard parts from the passenger aircraft series as a particular advantage. The machine can also be equipped with Rolls-Royce or Pratt & Whitney engines on request .
Consumption is given as 140 g / t • km. This means that the machine with the original engines should only need 50% of the fuel compared to an Il-76.
The Tu-330 is offered with different equipment. The following variants are specified by the manufacturer: tanker aircraft , hospital aircraft , monitoring aircraft for ground exploration ( nature conservation , fishing , ice watch), government aircraft (with salon and transport boxes for cars), natural gas tankers .
