history

Turkuaz Airlines was founded in Istanbul in 2007 and began operating on October 28, 2008. In November 2010, after financial difficulties, the company was revoked and the company was no longer allowed to operate domestic flights in Turkey. At the turn of the year 2010/2011 an increasingly serious financial situation became apparent, the company's employees had not received several monthly salaries. In December 2010, operations were finally completely stopped and the aircraft were returned to the lessors .

Destinations

Since September 22, 2010, Turkuaz Airlines has started domestic flights from Ankara to various Turkish cities with three to four aircraft. The remaining aircraft flew in wet lease or for various operators to Israel and Iran. The airline recently stopped flying to Germany. From Germany until September 2010 charter flights were carried out to Turkish holiday resorts such as Antalya , Izmir or Istanbul . These flights took place from the airports of Cologne / Bonn , Frankfurt , Munich , Düsseldorf , Nuremberg , Paderborn , Dortmund and Berlin-Schönefeld , among others . In Great Britain there were flights to Birmingham , Manchester and London-Stansted .
