Saga Airlines was a Turkish charter airline based in Istanbul and based at Istanbul Ataturk Airport .

history

Preparations began in 2002, and Saga Airlines finally started operations in April 2004. The company ceased flight operations in 2013.

Destinations

In addition to the charter business , Saga Airlines also operated its aircraft on wet leases for other airlines. For example, an Airbus A310-300 was used for Ariana Afghan Airlines on the route from Kabul to Frankfurt am Main , as this is itself included on the list of operating bans for the airspace of the European Union .

The last aircraft, an Airbus A320-200 , was returned to the lessor in early July 2013.
