Uğur Çiftçi (born May 4, 1992 in Sivas ) is a Turkish football player who plays for Sivasspor . He prefers to play in defense as a left full-back .

Career

Çiftçi he started club football in the youth of Gençlerbirliği Ankara , where he received a professional contract in 2010. Despite a professional contract, he played another season exclusively for the youth or reserve team of the club. To give him experience in a professional league, Gençlerbirliği Çiftçi loaned out to the fourth division club Hacettepe SK , to the second club Gençlerbirliğis, in the summer of 2011 . At Hacettepe, he made the leap into the starting eleven straight away.

After two years, Çiftçi returned Gençlerbirliği in the summer of 2013 and was involved in the professional squad. On the second day of the 2013/14 season he made his first division debut in the game against Akhisar Belediyespor .

After seven years with Gençlerbirliği, Çiftçi moved to Sivasspor .

National team

As part of the qualifying matches of the U-21 European Championship in 2015 , Çiftçi was nominated for the squad of the Turkish U-21 national team . He made his general international debut in the match against the Maltese U-21 national team .

After being able to convince his club for several weeks, he was nominated for the first time in his career in the squad for the Turkish national team in November 2013 in two test matches by national coach Fatih Terim . He made his international debut in the friendly against the Belarusian national team on November 19, 2013 .
