The Handelszentrum / Moskauer Straße underground station (formerly: Handelszentrum underground station ) is a station on the Düsseldorf city railway . It is located on the southern route of the second trunk route in the Oberbilk district of the North Rhine-Westphalian state capital Düsseldorf .
The station is located under the IHZ park between the streets of Kölner Strasse and Moskauer Strasse and was renamed on October 23, 2000 by Mayor Joachim Erwin in the presence of his Moscow counterpart Yuri Luschkow . Parts of the station's furnishings in the area of access from Moskauer Strasse are based on the twin city's metro .
Station complex
The train station can be reached via escalators and an elevator. On the first sub-level there is the platform in the direction of the main station, where the U75 and U76 in the direction of Neuss and Krefeld stop. The second sub-level has another side platform where the U75 line in the direction of Eller stops. Seen in the direction of Kettwiger Straße, there is a double-track parking facility behind the train station. The access to the parking facility branches off in front of the lower platform. The track had to be run deep in order to cross under the line to Oberbilk.
The Düsseldorf subway stations of the first, second and third generation all have almost the same design. The ceilings and walls are black, as is the floor. A silver cladding surrounds the pillars in the middle of the platform and also serves as a material for further station furniture. The beige walls provide a contrast to this restrained color scheme. The names of the stops are displayed above the information boards in black letters on a white background and on the walls. Here they are made with black writing on a white background, accompanied by wine-red lines above and below the writing.

The Handelszentrum / Moskauer Strasse subway station is on the second trunk line of the Düsseldorf light rail network. The U 75 serves the station in both directions. The U 76 starts at the commercial center, but ends at the main train station and goes from there directly to the parking area. In addition to the transfer options between the individual tram lines, there is a connection to the 732 bus line of the Düsseldorf public transport network. At the Oberbilker Markt / Warschauer Straße underground station , which is just a few minutes' walk away , three other light rail lines stop, the tram line 706 and the bus lines 732 and 736.
The neighboring towns on the left bank of the Rhine and the districts of Lörick , Heerdt and Oberkassel can be reached via the lines from Krefeld , Meerbusch and Neuss . In the direction of the old town there is a connection to the central transfer point Heinrich-Heine-Allee. There you can change to several bus lines and the so-called Wehrhahn Line . In front of it is the Düsseldorf Hbf interchange station , which links the Stadtbahn with the Rhein-Ruhr S-Bahn and other regional and long-distance connections. In the further course of the second trunk line, the districts of Vennhausen and Eller to the southeast are connected.
All light rail lines that run here are operated by the Düsseldorf Rheinbahn with high-floor light rail vehicles of the type B80D . GT8SU vehicles converted from GT8S trams also run on the U75 line.
