Senhor Roubado Metro Station
Senhor Roubado is a metro station on the Linha Amarela of the Lisbon Metro , the subway network of the Portuguese capital . The station is located south of the outer ring road ( Circular Regional Interna de Lisboa ) on Rua do Senhor Roubado and thus outside the Lisbon urban area in the municipality of Odivelas . The neighboring stations are Odivelas and Ameixoeira ; the station went into operation on March 27, 2004.
history
While numerous suburbs of Lisbon, especially in the west ( Cascais , Oeiras , Estoril ), north-west ( Cacém , Amadora , Sintra ) and north-east ( Moscavide , Sacavém ) already had a connection by rail, the densely populated districts in Odivelas were always only accessible by bus to reach. To change this, the Portuguese Ministry of Transport financed the extension of the Linha Amarela to the north. The new section Campo Grande - Odivelas went into operation on March 27, 2004 with five stations. He was the first to cross the city limits.
Structure and location
The station, designed by Manuel Bastos , is one of the three above-ground stations in the Lisbon metro network. The other two are the Campo Grande subway station and the subway station Odivelas . It has the usual two 105 meter long side platforms. The stop is outside the city limits of Lisbon and thus in Coroa 1 (the first tariff zone outside Lisbon). The outer city motorway Circular Regional Interna de Lisboa (CIRL / IC-17) has an exit directly at the Senhor Roubado train station to which a large Park + Ride car park is directly connected. A bus station with connection to various lines of the Carris and Rodoviária de Lisboa is adjacent to the station. For the design, the commissioned José Pedro Croft based himself on early Arabic tiles and designed various dot and line patterns for the white surface of the station, including on the platform walls and on the mezzanine floors.
