Ulrich Hommes

Ulrich Hommes (born October 7, 1932 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German philosopher .

Life

Ulrich Hommes is one of eight children of the philosopher and writer Jakob Hommes . He received his doctorate in philosophy (dissertation 1957) and in law (dissertation 1960 and 1962) at the University of Freiburg . The habilitation took place in 1966 at the University of Munich .

During Max Müller's time as editor of the Philosophical Yearbook , he was editor there until 1969 . Alois Halder and Arno Baruzzi followed him in this position ; Publisher was Hermann Krings . Since 1967 he has been a full professor of philosophy at the Institute for Philosophy at the University of Regensburg . In 2000 he was retired.

Hommes made numerous contributions to radio and television. From the beginning of the 1970s he sat for the Bavarian universities and colleges in the broadcasting council of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation , was a member and later also chairman of the ARD program advisory board as well as a member of the program advisory board of the Franco-German cultural channel ARTE .

He also acted as chairman of the Friends of the Regensburger Domspatzen and for many years as deputy chairman of the Regensburger Domspatzen Foundation .
