The 1940/41 season was the fifth season of the Hungarian Ice Hockey League , the highest Hungarian ice hockey league . BBTE Budapest became champion for the first time in the club's history .

mode

The championship was divided into four regional groups in the main round. Their winners qualified for the final tournament, the winner of which became champions. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
