The 1945/46 season was the ninth season of the Hungarian ice hockey league , the highest Hungarian ice hockey league . BKE Budapest became champion for the seventh time in the club's history .

mode

The championship was divided into two groups with five participants each in the main round. The top two teams in each group qualified for the final round. Their first place became champions. The remaining six teams competed in a placement round. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
