(1984)

We're fine ... is the second mini-album by the German punk rock band Die Ärzte , which was released in 1984 - after the EP, which the band produced entirely itself, Too good to be true! - was released by the Berlin label Vielklang.

background

In addition to the title and band name, the cover is only decorated with a large cross. In the first edition the cross was still red, but after the German Red Cross threatened to sue for alleged danger of confusion, the crosses on the following editions were then colored blue, green, white, yellow, brown, black or gold.

Due to the only five songs it contains, the album is often not considered a "full" album. Instead, the following Debil , released on the major label CBS Records , is the band's debut album.

Which is already too good to be true! The included song Teenager Liebe was re-recorded for this album. A third version (with an additional saxophone) followed in 1985 on the soundtrack to the film Richy Guitar , in which the doctors played the leading role.

At the time the band broke up in 1988, the plate was no longer commercially available. In order to make it easier for the fans to say goodbye (and to benefit from the increased interest in the course of the farewell tour), the five songs included were combined with the songs from Too good to be true! and early contributions to various samplers on the album Die Doctors earlier! republished. The different versions of teenage love have been renamed here as teenage love (real) (from Too good to be true! ) And teenage love (fake) (from We're fine ... ).

The song entitled Uns geht's prima was already in the band's live repertoire in 1983, but was first released in 1988 on the live album Nach uns die Sintflut .
