Uroš Brestovać ( Serbian - Cyrillic Урош Брестоваћ ; born March 27, 1979 in Subotica , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Serbian ice hockey player who was last under contract with HK Spartak Subotica in the Serbian ice hockey league until 2014 .

Career

Uroš Brestovać began his career as a hockey player at HK Vojvodina Novi Sad , with whom he became Yugoslavian champions in 2001, 2002 and 2003 and Serbian-Montenegrin champions in 2004. In 2009 he moved to HK Spartak Subotica in his hometown. After interrupting his career from 2010 to 2013, he played one more season for Spartak in 2013/14 before finally ending his career.

International

For the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia Brestovać took part in the U18 European Championships of the C2 group in 1995 and the D group in 1996 and 1997 .

In the men's area, Brestovać first took part with the Yugoslav national team at the World Championships in Division II in 2001 and 2002 . He then played for Serbia and Montenegro at the World Championships in 2003 , 2004 and 2005, also in Division II, and in November 2005 in the Olympic qualification for the 2006 Games in Turin . For Serbia , he finally went into action at the World Championships in Division II in 2007 , 2008 and 2009 as well as in the Olympic qualification for the 2010 Games in Vancouver .

In 2010 he was the assistant coach of the Serbian youth at both the U18 World Cup and the U20 World Cup , in which the Serbs played in Division II.
