Verkehrsgemeinschaft Schweinfurt

The Transport Community Schweinfurt (VSW) is a transport association of local public transport for the area the independent town Schweinfurt and the district of Schweinfurt . 23 bus routes operated by local bus companies and two train routes operated by the Erfurt Railway and Deutsche Bahn offer a joint tariff.

Deutsche Bahn offers , or Bahncard and Bayern-Ticket tickets, are recognized on most lines.

Expansion of rail transport

The Würzburg-Schweinfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry is currently (2020) advocating the reopening of the Lower Steigerwaldbahn in the Schweinfurt main station - Gerolzhofen - Lülsfeld section (district boundary) . An expert opinion was prepared for this .
