Chuck Lorre
Chuck Lorre (* 18th October 1952 on Long Iceland , New York as Charles Michael Levine ) is an American television producer , screenwriter , director , composer and creative consultant. He developed the series The Big Bang Theory , Grace , Cybill , Dharma & Greg , Mom , Two and a Half Men , Young Sheldon and The Kominsky Method . He also served as executive producer on the series Mike & Molly and Roseanne .
Life
Chuck Lorre attended the State University of New York in Potsdam (New York) , which he left after two years. He then went on tour in the USA as a guitarist and songwriter . Among other things, he wrote the song French kissin 'in the USA , which Debbie Harry recorded for her 1986 album Rockbird . From 1986, however, he focused on television.
Lorre was married to actress Karen Witter for the second time. He has two children from his first marriage.
On March 12, 2009, he was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame . On August 25, 2015, an asteroid was named after him: (8629) Chucklorre .
Vanity cards
At the end of the credits of many episodes of the series he produced ( Dharma & Greg , The Big Bang Theory , Cybill , Grace Under Fire , Mike & Molly and Two and a Half Men , Young Sheldon and Mom ) he placed a message that was only for about can be seen for one to three seconds and usually contains a personal view of him. In some cases these have been censored by CBS . In Germany, these are not shown on television at all because their own credits or no credits are used. With streaming services like Netflix, however , the vanity cards are shown. Vanity cards are usually shown in Austria.
