Administrative division of Vologda Oblast
The Vologda Oblast in the Northwestern Federal District of the Russian Federation is divided into 26 Rajons and two urban districts. A total of 22 urban and 245 rural communities are subordinate to the Rajons (status: 2010). The current administrative structure of the Vologda Oblast was established by the Oblast Law № 1106-ОЗ of December 6, 2004, which was changed several times in the following years.
