history

The place was first mentioned in the Würzburger Lehenbuch from 1303 as "Volkacdorf". The two farms were given as fiefs to Heinrich von Rore and Heinrich von Limbach. In addition to Würzburg, the Bamberg Monastery and the Lords of Hohenlohe were feudal lords. Bamberger Urbar of 1348 five vassals are listed: Heinrich Purchreutter, Heinrich Teuber, Konrad Tauber, together with a blacksmith and a miller. In the Hohenlohe fief book of 1372 an estate was listed in "Volkerstorf" which was awarded to a "Newpawer". Originally, the Kitzingen monastery was wealthy in the village with two ten-free fiefs. In 1444 the village and church caretaker in Wachenroth bought them for the early mass there .

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 8 properties and a community shepherd's house in Volkersdorf. The high court exercised the Bamberg center Wachenroth . The village and township government had the box office Wachenroth held. The landlords were the caste office Wachenroth (2 farms, 1 mill, 2 houses) and the parish of Wachenroth (2 Sölde ). In 1802 there were still 8 properties in the village.

As part of the community edict, Volkersdorf was assigned to the Wachenroth tax district, formed in 1808 . In the same year the rural community Wachenroth was formed, to which the place belonged.
