Reumannswind is a district of the Wachenroth market in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district in Middle Franconia .
geography
The Eckersbach , which is a left tributary of the Reichen Ebrach , flows through the village . A wooded hill borders in the north. Approx. 1.5 km to the north rises the Vestenberg ( 349 m above sea level ), approx. 1 km east of the White Mountain ( 350 m above sea level ). In the south, the arable and green areas drop into the Ebrachtal.
history
The place was a planned settlement of Wends in connection with the Würzburg colonization. The feudal claims of the Würzburg bishopric still existed in part after the foundation of the Bamberg diocese . In effect, the Wurzburg Urbar out of the 1317 that the Bishopric of Würzburg the tithe transferred in "Rûwensvin" the Bamberg citizens Gunloho fief. The Benedictine monastery in Kitzingen was entitled to further fiefs . In 1444 these were bought by the Wachenroth village master and church caretaker and used for the foundation of an early mass in Wachenroth.
Towards the end of the 18th century there were 8 properties and a community pastor's house in Reumannswind. The high court exercised the Bamberg center Wachenroth . The village and community rulership was held by the Bamberg caste office Wachenroth . The landlords were the Kastenamt Wachenroth (5 courtyards, 1 half courtyard) and the manor Reichmannsdorf (2 Sölden ). In 1802 there were 9 properties in the village: 6 were subordinate to the bishopric of Bamberg and 3 to the barons of Schrottenberg zu Reichmannsdorf ( knight canton Steigerwald ).
As part of the community edict, Reumannswind was assigned to the Elsendorf tax district formed in 1808 . In the same year the rural community Elsendorf was formed, to which the place belonged. 3 properties were subject to voluntary jurisdiction by the Reichmannsdorf Patrimonial Court (until 1848).
On May 1, 1978 Reumannswind was incorporated into the city of Schlüsselfeld as part of the regional reform . On January 1, 1982, the place was umgemeindet to Wachenroth .

The place is still predominantly Catholic and parish to St. Gertrud (Wachenroth) . The residents of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination are parish in the castle church (Weingartsgreuth) .

A communal road runs to Wachenroth to state road 2260 (1.7 km southeast) or to Possenfelden to district road BA 50 (1.8 km south-west). Another community road leads to BA 50 near Eckersbach (2.3 km northwest).
