Volleyball Champions League 2008/09 (men)

The 2008/09 season of the Volleyball Champions League began on November 4, 2008 with the group stage and ended with the final on April 5, 2009 in Prague . 24 teams from 16 nations took part in the competition. Trentino Volley from Italy won the final against the Greek representative Iraklis Thessaloniki .

mode

In the group stage there were six groups with four teams each. Each team competed at home and away against each of the three opponents. The two best teams in each group and the four best thirds in the group qualified for the round of 16. The eighth and quarter-finals were played in the knockout system with a return leg. The four winners of the quarter-finals qualified for the Final Four in Prague.
