Vollradisroda is a district of the municipality Döbritschen in the Weimarer Land district in Thuringia .
geography
The hamlet of Vollradisroda is located east of Döbritschen and west of Jena on the wooded northern roof of the 420-meter-high stone hill . The boundary of the district extends to the Jena forest. The terrain is hilly and close to nature.
history
On October 22nd, 1262, Volrad the Elder and Volrad the Younger von Kranichfeld transferred a hoof of land in Volradesrode to the Oberweimar monastery . On July 4, 1311, the Scholasticus of the cathedral church in Naumburg and his cousin Dietrich, Schenk von Nebra, gave goods to the Kapellendorf monastery in Vollradisroda. The place is often confused in literature with Vollersroda near Weimar, which, however, was largely subordinate to the Oberweimar monastery. Thuringian food has been offered in the Waldgasthof Zu den vier Linden since the beginning of the 19th century . The village was destroyed in the Wettin civil war in 1450 and lay desolate for over 200 years. In 1699, Duke Wilhelm von Eisenach awarded a Dr. Johann Reisingen, Hof- und Kammerrath zu Köthen, the Gut zu Vollradisroda, including the place where the village stood, on the Döbritscher Holze . In 1718 Vollradisroda was awarded by this duke to the heirs of Caspar von Berg . After the von Bergs died out, the estate came back to rulership. In 1756 the estate was incorporated into the Weimar Schatullgut based in Döbritschen. 1815 Vollradisroda belonged as Vorwerk the chamber property Döbritschen that in a state domain was converted. In 1923 it was incorporated into Döbritschen.
economy
Vollradisroda learned its importance through its abundance of forests and game. Since 1879 it has been the seat of a district forester.
tourism
The place is a popular recreational area for the people from the city. Social meetings and family celebrations take place in the inn. The Weimar / Jena Golf Club is located in the neighboring town of Münchenroda. Vollradisroda is on the Thüringenweg long-distance hiking trail , which leads through the Münchenrodaer Grund . In early spring, hikers can see wood anemones and liverworts , in May / June local orchids , e.g. B. admire the lady's slipper and various orchids .
