history

Farm in Wünschendorf

The place Wünschendorf was mentioned in 1462 as "bey dem Wyndischen dorffe". This suggests that the area was settled by Sorbs who lived in the area as early as the 6th century. The place belonged to the lordship of the manor Tettau that Hans of Hagenest in 1492 to the monastery Remse sold. Wünschendorf was acquired by the Lords of Schönburg in 1543 as the former property of the Remse Monastery, which was dissolved in the course of the Reformation in 1533 . Since then the place has belonged as an official village to the Schönburg rule of Remse , which, however, was under Wettin suzerainty as a feudal rule . As part of the administrative reorganization of the Kingdom of Saxony, Wünschendorf was subordinated to the Zwickau district directorate as part of the Schönburg suzerainty in Remse in 1835. The feudal lordship of Remse and its locations has since been administratively administered by the royal Saxon office of Zwickau .

From 1856 Wünschendorf belonged to the Remse court office and from 1875 initially to the Zwickau administration . After an administrative reform was carried out in the area of the Schönburg recession in 1878, Wünschendorf and the entire former judicial district of Remse came to the newly founded Saxon governorate of Glauchau in 1880 .

On July 1, 1950, Wünschendorf was incorporated into Tettau , which in turn was incorporated into the community of Schönberg on January 1, 1974 . As a result of the second district reform in the GDR , Wünschendorf came to the Glauchau district in the Chemnitz district in 1952 (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued as the Saxon Glauchau district from 1990 and in the Chemnitzer Land district in 1994 and in the district in 2008 Zwickau rose.
