Wahlen is a southern district of the municipality of Kall in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Euskirchen .

The Fischbach flows in the south and the Gillesbach in the east . The immediate neighbors are Marmagen and Steinfeld .

Wahlen has a lively club life. There is a drum corps, a rifle club, a sports club, a pigeon fancier and a carnival club. In addition, the theater friends play elections in a dialect theater (“Frechunnett”). There is also a fire fighting group from the Kall volunteer fire brigade .

The patron saint of elections is St. Rochus . Every year on the Sunday after August 16, the Rochus or village festival takes place in his honor. The Rochus Chapel named after him was demolished in 2008 due to ailing building structure, so that today Wahlen does not have its own church.

On July 1, 1969, the community of Wahlen was incorporated into Kall. The former districts of Bungenberg , Hecken , Heiden , Kreuzberg , Linden , Manscheid , Oberschömbach , Paulushof , Unterschömbach , Wildenburg and Winten were reclassified to Hellenthal on January 1, 1972 .

The incumbent mayor of Wahlen is Guido Wiesen (CDU).
