Elections to the Council of Experts of Iran in 1990
The 1990 Iranian Expert Council elections took place on October 8, 1990 and were the first elections to the Expert Council since the First Gulf War . The Guardian Council allowed just under 58% of all candidates for election; voter turnout was lower than ever before in the elections of the Islamic Republic of Iran . The electoral district of Tehran Province , which was able to allocate 16 seats, recorded a low with a voter turnout of 30.93 percent.
