The constituency of Meißen-Dresden Ost was a state electoral district in Saxony that existed for the state elections in 1994 and 1999 . It had constituency number 40. The constituency area comprised parts of the Meißen district, which existed before the district reform in 1994 , and the entire Dresden district at that time . This was to merge on August 1, 1994 in a planned district of Meißen-Dresden. However, the district of Dresden sued the Saxon Higher Administrative Court against its dissolution. Since the lawsuit was unsuccessful, the district was dissolved on January 1, 1996. The constituency area became part of the Meißen district , which until February 28, 1997 was called the Meißen-Radebeul district . The district became part of the new district of Meissen in the course of the Saxon district reform in 2008 . Between 1994 and 1999 the constituency area consisted of the following cities and municipalities: Arnsdorf , Fischbach , Großdittmannsdorf , Großerkmannsdorf , Hermsdorf , Langebrück , Liegau-Augustusbad , Lomnitz , Medingen , Moritzburg , Niederau , Ottendorf-Okrilla , Promnitztal , Radeberg , Radeburg , Reichenberg , Schönborn , Steinbach , Ullersdorf , Wachau , Wallroda , Weinböhla and Weixdorf .

The electoral districts Meißen-Dresden Ost were succeeded in 2004 by the constituencies Meißen 2 , Kamenz 1 and Kamenz 2 and Dresden 5 , to which the towns of Schönborn, Steinbach and Weixdorf, which were incorporated into Dresden, changed.
