Wine wonder Germany

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Weinwunder Deutschland is a documentary film series in several seasons about German wine by Stuart Pigott , which is produced by megaherz on behalf of Bayerischer Rundfunk .

action

The wine journalist Stuart Pigott travels the wine regions of Germany and visits selected winemakers . Pigott talks to them about the wines and the history of their winery. In the conversations, knowledge about viticulture , sensor technology and wine qualities is conveyed. Often the visit to the winemaker ends with a comparative blind tasting - often against very expensive wines from abroad.

Stuart Pigott's central wine messages in the film series are: Good wine doesn't have to be expensive! Don't trust big names! Trust your tongue! Wine must only taste good to those who drink it!
