Werner Biermeier

Werner Biermeier (born February 18, 1961 in Winterthur ) is a Swiss actor .

Life

Biermeier passed his Matura in 1981 in Altdorf and completed studies at the law and political science faculty of the University of Zurich (1981–1984) as well as training as a confectioner at Sprüngli in Zurich. He worked in his parents' business until 1998.

From 1998 to 2000 Biermeier studied at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute in New York . He made his Swiss stage debut in 1999 at the Lucerne Theater with Behind the Seven Mountains by FX Nager and Christoph Baumann. Further stage work and first films followed in New York (including Nancy & Frank - A Manhattan Love Story by Wolf Gremm ). From autumn 2001 he worked as a freelance actor in various theater, film and television productions in Berlin , Munich , Florence and again in Switzerland.

At the Seeburgtheater in Kreuzlingen , Biermeier played Giesecke for the first time in Benatzky's Singspiel Im Weiße Rößl . This was followed by engagements under the direction of Leopold Huber , including in The Black Spider after Jeremias Gotthelf , Nestroy's Posse with song Der Zerrissene (2010/2011) and in the music theater piece The Black Rider (2012). Roles in the Threepenny Opera followed in 2013 and in the summer of 2014 in the open-air spectacle Laina Viva in Zernez . In the winter of 2014/15 he played the fictional character Efraim Longstocking at the Lucerne Theater and in the same year worked on six episodes of the television series Station Horizon in the role of Willy Frösch .

This was followed by various engagements in film and television productions such as the youth film Mein Name ist Eugen , the Stieg Larsson film adaptation of Girl With The Dragon Tattoo - Verblendung (2012) and the short action comedy Deadlocked (2013). In January 2014 Biermeier played in the 2nd season of the crime television series Der Undatter on Swiss television and in the reality television series Anno 1914 ( SRF ). He worked with Carla Juri and Marcus Signer in the short film drama Spooky & Linda . He played also roles in the biographical drama Adventure Walking to Paris and in the ARD - telenovela Sturm der Liebe (2018/2019).
