Weuspert is a hamlet in the municipality of Finnentrop in the district of Olpe , North Rhine-Westphalia in the southern part of the Sauerland with around 40 inhabitants.
The place is at an altitude between 480 and 500 m above sea level in the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge nature park . The district road 29 leads through the place. The Sauerland-Höhenflug hiking trail also touches the place. The hamlets of Wörden, Faulebutter and Klingelborn , which are in the immediate vicinity, are often grouped under the name Weuspert .
Weuspert, originally called Wustenbracht , was probably mentioned as early as the 14th century. Because of the altitude, agriculture was hardly productive there. The Hubertus Chapel, built in 1928 and protected as a monument, is characteristic of the townscape. One elementary school was closed in the 1970s. In addition to one full-time farmer, there are also two part-time farmers.
