Willem Fricke

Willem Fricke (born August 10, 1928 in Winsen (Luhe) , † July 24, 2009 in Hamburg ) was a German actor and radio play speaker .

Life

Willem Fricke was born the son of a potato trader, his parents only spoke Low German. From 1947 he took acting lessons in Hamburg and worked in his father's shop. Fricke made his debut as an actor in Cuxhaven in 1952 and played at the Ernst Deutsch Theater from 1965 , including in productions by Karl Paryla . At the Hamburg Theater for Children he was seen in 1969 as Robber Hotzenplotz , a production that was broadcast on December 26, 1969 as a recording on ZDF .

In 1971 Fricke was part of the ensemble of the German premiere of the scandal musical revue Oh! Calcutta! by Kenneth Tynan in the Hamburg Operettenhaus on the Reeperbahn. At first it was strange to “show dick” in front of an audience, he confessed in an article in Spiegel .

In the 1984/85 season he came to the Ohnsorg Theater , where he played a total of 40 plays. His last role here was in the 2003/04 season in the comedy Jümmer op de Lütten by Jürgen Baumgarten .

Since the late 1950s, Fricke has often been in front of the camera, for the first time in three episodes of the Stahlnetz series , as well as in television films and series such as Cliff Dexter , Percy Stuart and Hotel Elfie .

In addition, he acted as a speaker in a large number of radio plays, especially in the series Ein Fall für TKKG , where he spoke different characters.

As a voice actor, Willem Fricke voiced his fellow actors Allen Henry in Ruler of the Seas (dubbed 1980) and Ivanhoe Teamotuattao in The Survivor of Tikeroa .

Willem Fricke was buried at the Hamburg cemetery in Ohlsdorf in the complex called "tree graves" in grid square Bm 58.
