The Wilmington International Airport ( IATA : ILM , ICAO : KILM ) or New Hanover County International Airport is an airport in the US state of North Carolina and is located on the outskirts of the coastal town of Wilmington . It is located on Interstate 40 and Interstate 140 at a height of 10 m above sea ​​level .

Airport information

The airport was originally a military airfield, but is now used for domestic, regional and private air traffic. It has a terminal , two runways and a 24-hour customs post for travelers. The airport was also one of the emergency landing sites suitable for space shuttles .
