Wolfgang Haug

Wolfgang Haug (* 1955 ) is a German anarchist publisher and publicist . He headed the anyway publishing house and was editor of the anarchist magazine Schwarzer Faden .

Life

After state exam in German language and literature , English language and literature and history at the University of Tuebingen Haug worked as a journalist and editor of books including for the taz , literature specifically in Hamburg , the collection Luchterhand in Darmstadt , the Metzler Verlag in Stuttgart , the Emma Goldman Papers Project of the University of Berkeley , the newspaper Freedom in London , the StadtRevue in Cologne , the historical trade journal IWK in Berlin , the writings of the Erich Mühsam Society in Lübeck , the US magazine Green Perspectives with Murray Bookchin or the London magazine Democracy & Nature with Takis Fotopoulos . In 1978 he founded the anyway publishing house and in 1980 he became the co-founder and publisher of Schwarzer Fadens. In 2001, he and 120 other comrades converted the however publishing house into a cooperative. In 2001 he founded the edition wahler for small print runs that were important in terms of content and could not find a place in the cooperative . In 2003 he resigned as a member of the board of directors at anyway; since then the publishing house has been Frankfurt am Main . Parallel to his publishing work, he worked as a jobber in various companies and as a teacher for English and German in various adult education institutions . a. at the Ruhr University Bochum . Since 2012 he has published the works of Augustin Souchy in Edition AV , Lich . In 2016 he published a complete edition on the work of Oskar Kanehl at Edition AV .
