Wolfgang Andreas Lindner (born June 17, 1981 in Steyr , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian musician, music producer and publisher.

Life

Wolfgang Lindner Jr. attended the upper level at BORG Krems with a focus on music and computer science. From 1997 he attended the Franz Schubert Conservatory , Jazz department. As a major, Lindner took drums with Horst Legat and a minor in piano with Andy Plank. During this time he completed his training as a certified sound engineer at the SAE ( School of Audio Engineering ) in Vienna. This was followed by teaching practice for jazz drums with Walter Grassmann and studying at the Vienna Conservatory Department of Jazz and Popular Music, majoring in drums with Andi Weiss. In addition to his training, he worked as a sound engineer in his father's recording studio, Wolfgang Lindner sen.

He was a founding member and drummer of the rock band Die Abfangjäger , the funk & soul band The Horny Funk Bros. , the Blue Danube dance orchestra and percussionist in his father's big band, the Wolfgang Lindner Band , which he took over in 2005.

In 2006 he founded the company media-pro , a service company for music and media production, based in Grafenegg , Lower Austria , and thus looks after various musical artists and television stations.

He reached his first chart positions in 2013 as a co-producer of Thomas Rabitsch with the album Able by the Austrian singer-songwriter Thomas David , which stayed in the official album charts of the Ö3 Top40 for 12 weeks and also achieved gold status. He achieved further chart successes as a producer in the following years, including for the single productions of the duo Harfonie and for the album seven by the a cappella group Piccanto .

In 2014, together with Thomas Eder and Marlene Mairinger, he founded the composer team SOKOmiez , a pseudonym under which new songs such as Dirndl check'n ( Die Junge Zillertaler ) and Küss mich ( Stefanie Hertel ) were created.

In 2016, Lindner composed and produced the new signature for the ORF TV show series Starnacht , which premiered on April 30, 2016 at Starnacht at Lake Neusiedl .

Wolfgang Lindner Jr. is active as a band leader and drummer for the music groups Wolfgang Lindner Band and Heavy Talents as well as a freelancer drummer for other artists and music groups.

He is an endorser for Yamaha drums and keyboards.
