Wolfsquiga is a district of the town of Parsberg in the Neumarkt district in Upper Palatinate in Bavaria .

Geographical location

The district is located in the Upper Palatinate Jura of the southern Franconian Jura at approx. 515 m above sea ​​level . To the west, the forest area "Schwarzholz" extends moderately uphill.

history

Wolfsquiga was founded in the 19th century on the road from Parsberg to Hohenfels , presumably named after the corridor "Wolfs Gwieger", which on the topographical original position sheets of the Kingdom of Bavaria from 1808–1864 still shows the wasteland. In 1883 Wolfsquiga appears as an official part of the municipality of Rudenshofen. This municipality was incorporated into the city of Parsberg on January 1, 1971 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria . Since then, Wolfsquiga has been an officially named district of Parsberg.
