history

The place Rotmundeshouen (Rudenshofen) is mentioned for the first time in a list of place names in which the Eichstätter bishop Gundekar II inaugurated churches in the diocese of Eichstätt between 1057 and 1075 . In Rudenshofen he inaugurated the St. Andreas Church. However, the place should have existed before this time. The place name should be traced back to a Rothmund and his court. Later spellings were Ruteinshouen and Rvtmanshouen .

According to a land register of Duke Ludwig the Strict from the 13th century, he received two sheep oats and six pfennigs interest (or a lamb) from the town . The place Rutmanshoven belonged at that time to the Vitztum Burglengenfeld and to the office Lutzmannstein .

Around the year 1300, arguments over centuries began between the Lords of Parsberg and the Lords of Velburg over jurisdiction. In 1309 the dispute was decided by the Victum Eyban von Lengenfeld in favor of Dietrich von Parsberg and the jurisdiction of the jurisdiction of Parsberg was confirmed. In 1353 a lawsuit by Jörg der Auer von der Adelburg was dismissed because Dietrich von Parsberg was able to prove his powers with a letter and seal.

In the 16th century the territorial disputes flared up again between the Lords of Wispeck zu Velburg and the Lords of Parsberg. In 1536, Hans Adam von Wispeck declared the village of Rudenshofen to be his property and claimed that the village of Rudenshofen had always been subject to the rule of Velburg with all high and low jurisdictions and for as long as anyone can remember .

Ritter Haug von Parsberg had the farmer Ulrich Velterer from Rudenshofen arrested in connection with the disputes and held in an inn in Parsberg until he declared that he was a subject of Parsberg. Hans Adam Wispeck brought an action against the Count Palatine of Neuburg in 1549 . The dispute lasted a long time and was no longer resolved during the lifetime of the two parties. However, the Lords of Parsberg kept their property in Rudenshofen until they went out in 1730. Through a comparison in the years 1736/37 the whole village of Rudenshofen came to Parsberg.

When Parsberg came to the Electorate of Bavaria in 1792, both areas had the same sovereign prince and that finally ended the dispute over the community of Rudenshofen. In 1780, Rudenshofen was almost completely destroyed in a fire.

The Rudenshofen Volunteer Fire Brigade was founded in 1900. In 1938 a telegraph line was connected in the Rudenshofen community. On January 1, 1946, the Rudenshofen community was dissolved. After a vote on December 28, 1947, the municipality of Rudenshofen was rebuilt, but this time without the village of Breitenthal, this remained with the municipality of Hörmannsdorf. On January 1, 1971, Rudenshofen was incorporated into the town of Parsberg.
