The Wolseley 30/40 was an upper middle class car that Wolseley brought out in 1914 as a smaller version of the top model 50 .

It had a 6-cylinder engine with 6864 cm³ displacement and water cooling. The car was delivered on a chassis with a 3531 mm or 3683 mm wheelbase. The various superstructures were between 4877 mm and 5029 mm long and 1803 mm wide.

Production was discontinued as early as 1915 due to the war and only resumed in 1919 (with the wheelbase extended to 3759 mm). The superstructures were 5055 mm long and 1778 mm wide. This made the 30/40 Wolseleys the new top model after the First World War . Production of the large six-cylinder model ran out as early as 1921.
