The Wolseley Eighteen was a car of the upper middle class , the Wolseley brought out the 1935th In the same year it was discontinued and appeared again in 1938 as Wolseley 18/80 with a slightly enlarged engine . This car was called Eighteen again from 1939 and continued to be offered until 1948.

The first Eighteen or 18 hp was a car with a larger six-cylinder engine that was put to the side of the Wolseley Fourteen .
It had a six-cylinder in-line engine with a displacement of 2299 cc and overhead valves (ohv). The car was delivered on a 2794 mm wheelbase chassis. The sedan reached a top speed of 111 km / h.
Production was discontinued in the same year.

In 1938, after a two-year break, a larger six-cylinder with the designation 18/80 appeared again.
Its engine was the same as that of the first Eighteen, but the stroke was one mm larger, resulting in a displacement of 2322 cm³. The wheelbase of the new model was shorter at 2692 mm. The new car reached a top speed of 128 km / h.
The following year the model was renamed Eighteen again. The shortened chassis and the sedan body corresponded to the contemporary, but weaker Fourteen . The power of the unchanged six cylinder engine was with 85 bhp (62.5 kW) at 4000 / min. stated, the maximum speed of the car with 123 km / h.
The cars were offered in this form until 1948 and then replaced by the slightly smaller 6/80 .
