The 1990/91 season was the ninth edition of the highest English women's ice hockey league , the British Women's League . The league was carried out by the English Ice Hockey Association , the English association under the umbrella of the British ice hockey association Ice Hockey UK . The winner received the Chairman's Cup .

After two years of regional divisions, they returned to a single-track league now called the Premier Division. All teams played a simple round with a return leg. There was no relegation in the newly created, regionally structured second division.
