The table tennis World Cup 2013 took place for the men in his 34th from 25 to 27 October at the Belgian Verviers and for the women in his 17 host from 21 to 23 September at the Japanese Kobe instead. Gold went to Xu Xin and Liu Shiwen from China .

mode

20 athletes took part in each competition. The twelve worst-placed participants in the world rankings , divided into four groups of three athletes each, took part in the first group phase. The group first and the 8 best placed participants in the world rankings played against each other in four further groups of three, the group first and second advanced to the main round, which was held in knockout mode. The semi-final losers played a game for third place.

The first column shows the final position, the columns “WRL-Pos.” The world ranking position relevant for the seeding (yellow marks the 8 players directly seeded for the second group phase). Although there were normally only two players per association, Dimitrij Ovtcharov was also able to participate as the third German thanks to the ITTF wildcard.
