World Games / inline speed skating
The World Games are every four years the most important event for the non-Olympic sport inline speed skating . The games are hosted by the International World Games Association - IWGA. Roller speed skating ( roller skates ) as well as the inline speed skating practiced today has been part of the competition program since it was first held in 1981. |

World Games 2005
The 7th World Games were from 14 to 24 July 2005 in the German Duisburg played. For the inline speed skaters , the preliminary and final runs were held from July 19th to 21st. There were 48 starting places for the inline discipline. 24 inline speed skaters and 24 inline speed skaters from 16 countries took part. In the Duisburg sports park at the Duisburg regatta track , a 200 meter oval was built on the Dreieckswiese especially for the inline discipline.

World Games 2009
The 8th World Games will be from 16 to 26 July 2009 at Taiwan's Kaohsiung discharged. For the inline speed skaters , the preliminary and final runs are planned from July 17th to 19th. The venue is the Yangming Skating Rink, which has been given a new surface especially for the World Games. 30 inline speed skaters and 30 inline speed skaters from 19 countries are admitted.
- Eligibility criteria
A calculation was carried out for the few starting places based on the results of the 2008 World Track Championships . The host country will be given a starting place for each route and the 2008 World Track Champions will also have a starting place. The remaining places will be awarded on the basis of a ranking that results from the sum of the three best placements in the 2008 World Track Championships.

World Games 2013
The 9th World Games took place from July 25 to August 4, 2013 in Cali , Colombia . For the track competitions, decisions were made on the street as an invitation sport for the first time. For the inline speed skaters , the preliminary and final runs were scheduled from July 31st to August 2nd on the track and from August 3rd to 4th (preliminary runs on August 1st) on the street. The venue is the Patinódromo Mundialista in the western part of Santiago de Cali. 37 inline speed skaters and 41 inline speed skaters from 25 countries took part.
