At the World Games 2017 in Wroclaw , two squash competitions took place from July 25th to 28th .

The winners of the last World Games were Grégory Gaultier and Nicol David . While Gaultier did not take part again, David started as the second seeded player. She lost in the semi-finals to Joey Chan , who in turn lost 3-0 in the final against Camille Serme . In the men's category, the top seeded Simon Rösner prevailed, beating Grégoire Marche 3-1 in the final .

A total of 61 athletes from 25 countries took part in the competitions, 30 of them in the men's and 31 in the women's competition. Simon Rösner , Raphael Kandra , Sina Kandra and Franziska Hennes from Germany took part, the Swiss squad consisted of Celine Walser . Participants from other German-speaking countries did not start. In both fields, positions three and four, positions five to eight and positions nine to 16 were set in the form of a grouped setting.
