history

The village was first mentioned in 1297 as Wrozki .

In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 84 eligible voters voted to remain in Germany and 254 to belong to Poland. But since there was a large majority for Germany in what was then the district of Opole , Wreske also remained with the German Empire. In the course of the "Germanization of foreign place names" under the National Socialists, the place was renamed Heidefeld on May 19, 1936 .

Until 1945 the place belonged to the district of Opole in the Prussian province of Upper Silesia . Then the place came under Polish administration and was renamed Wrzoski and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship . 1952 Wrzoski was incorporated into Chróścina . In 1975 Wrzoski was incorporated into Dambrau together with the Chrosczinna community. In 1999 the place came to the re-established Powiat Opolski . On January 1, 2017, Wreske was incorporated into the city of Opole.
