Xenia Stolz , also Ksenia, b. Achkinadze, also Aschkinadze or Achkinadze, (born January 14, 1989 in Anapa , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a former German athlete who specialized in the long jump . She also competed in sprint competitions .

career path

Stolz has been using the dual career of the sports promotion group of the Hessian police since 2009 and moved to Wiesbaden for her training at the HfPV . She is a police superintendent .

Athletic career

Stolz had already started running and jumping in Russia and came to Germany at the age of eleven.

In 2008 she became German junior long jump champion and missed the bronze medal by eight centimeters at the U20 World Championships . In qualifying, she set a personal best of 6.43 m, with which she would have achieved bronze in the final. At the German all-around championships , she won silver with the team.

In 2011 she successfully returned to the pit after successes in Hesse and at university championships after a long, injury-related abstinence from long jump and became German university champion with 6.32 m.

In 2012, Stolz jumped 6.56 m to the German championship title in the Karlsruhe Europahalle .

In 2013, she achieved her best performance of 6.66 m in May, even reached 6.69 m with a little too much tailwind, but was unable to maintain her form due to constant injuries.

In 2014, according to her own statement, “a lot was mixed up and not optimal”, and the absolute low point was reached when she was warming up at the German Championships in Ulm and found out that she had to go home without jumping because her trainer had not properly trained her Competition had been registered. Her career threatened to end unfinished until she switched to Wiesbaden LV in 2015 .

In 2015, Stolz qualified for participation in the 2015 European Indoor Championships in Prague and in July at the 22nd TMP long jump meeting in Bad Langensalza set a new record in the Hesse long jump with a personal best of 6.74 m.

In 2016, she improved her personal best in the hall to 6.63 m at the ISTAF indoor Berlin in February and took part in the 2016 World Indoor Championships in Portland (Oregon) .

In 2017, Stolz won bronze at the German Indoor Championships in Leipzig . In the middle of the year she went on maternity leave.

In 2018, Stolz reported back from maternity leave at the 1st  Evening Sports Festival in Wiesbaden with the aim of participating in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo .

In 2019 she did not start in the indoor season and came in 5th place at the German Championships . Shortly afterwards, the advisory board of the sports promotion group of the Hessian police decided not to sponsor Stolz anymore, whereupon she declared the end of her sporting career, as it was not possible for her to do competitive sport alongside her job. At the end of August she won the long jump of the 37th German Police Championships  .

Club affiliations

Proud started for the Wiesbaden LV since 2015 . Until 2006 she was at ESV Jahn Treysa , from 2007 to 2011 at LG Eintracht Frankfurt and from 2012 to 2014 at the Gelnhausen sports club . Your trainers were Peter Rouhi, Harry Letzelter and Jürgen Sammert.
