The Çaykur Didi Stadı (also Çaykur Didi Stadyumu ) is a football stadium in the Turkish city ​​of Rize in the northeast of the country. Since 2009 it has been the new home of the Çaykur Rizespor football club and replaced the Rize Ataturk Stadı from 1976.

history

Construction began on December 13, 2007. The venue was inaugurated on August 24, 2009 as part of an opening game between Çaykur Rizespor and Fenerbahçe Istanbul . The facility is located directly on the Black Sea and offers 15,558 seats (277 VIP seats and 84 press seats). The venue was one of seven venues for the 2013 U-20 World Cup in Turkey. In August 2015 the stadium was renamed Çaykur Didi Stadı .
