Zeetze ( Low German Zeetz ) is a village in the district of Stapel of the municipality of Amt Neuhaus in Lower Saxony .

geography

The place is seven kilometers north of Hitzacker on the opposite bank of the Elbe on the B 195 . The Krainke borders the place to the west.

history

For the year 1848 it is stated that Zeetze had 22 residential buildings in which 227 residents lived. At the time the place was parish after Stapel, the school was in the place. On December 1, 1910 Zeetze had 208 inhabitants in the Bleckede district . As part of the territorial changes in Mecklenburg , the place Vockfey was incorporated into Zeetze on July 23, 1965 and then Zeetze was incorporated into Stapel on January 1, 1974. After German reunification , the place moved on June 30, 1993 from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to Lower Saxony in the district of Lüneburg . On October 1, 1993, Stapel with Zeetze was incorporated into the municipality of Amt Neuhaus.
