Zernitz is a district of the city of Zerbst / Anhalt in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district in Saxony-Anhalt (Germany).

Until December 31, 2009, Zernitz was an independent municipality with the associated districts of Kuhberge and Strinum. 252 inhabitants lived on a community area of ​​13.71 km² (December 31, 2008). On January 1, 2010 the incorporation into Zerbst / Anhalt took place .

geography

The Anhalt village of Zernitz between the cities of Zerbst and Lindau is located at the confluence of the northern and central Nuthe , which arise in southwestern Fläming . The terrain around Zernitz is mostly flat and gradually slopes down to the south towards Zerbst.
